The Christmas Tag

What time of year do you start your Christmas shopping?
Normally I get started at the beginning of November, but that doesn't always go to plan. Although, this year I've managed to get most of my presents bought already.

Do you have any festive recipes for food or drink you limit solely to the Christmas season to share?
Not really, even when I eat/drink something all year round, (this may sound weird) but it has a christmassy taste because the christmas atmosphere is around me.

Tell me how Christmas goes down in your home
We usually wake up pretty early, sit around the tree and watch everyone open presents. Before my brother makes us a big cooked breakfast, from then we usually get ready straight away to spend a few hours at my nan's house for a lovely dinner (again, mainly cooked by my brother), once we get home we're usually very lazy...but this year (and last), I went round to my boyfriends on the evening to swap presents and spend some time with his family.

Do you have any Christmas traditions?
Not so much anymore, we always have a family get together the weekend before christmas which is nice. But we used to spend christmas day with my nan and we'd go to the local restaurant/pub for lunch instead of cooking, which was completely different christmas than to what any of my friends did...that was a tradition, I guess!

Do you have a favourite festive coffee?
I don't drink coffee, but I'm addicted to hot chocolate and even more so during the cold/christmas season.

Do you have a favourite Christmas song?
I have a lot, song that I always listen to are; The Pogues - Fairy Tale of New York, Mariah Carey - All I want for Christmas is You & Michael Buble - Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)

What do you do on Christmas Eve?
It's my brothers birthday on Christmas Eve, so we tend to spend the day celebrating his birthday...it's kind of like we ignore christmas for the day & have family round to celebrate with him. Until a few years ago we'd spend Christmas Eve evening as the 4 of us and get ourselves hyped up for the next morning & go to an evening service at Church...midnight mass just at 8 o'clock instead hehe. But I love our Christmas Eve tradition.

What's your Christmas wrapping strategy? Do you have a strategy?
I have no strategy, I just get on with it! I do love wrapping it creates half of my christmas spirit I think.

What's your dream gift this year?
Canon 600D! I've been saving up for months & I'm still a little behind but honestly if I could get it as a gift I would!
Knowing I'm not getting that I would love some cut-out boots & marc jacobs perfumes along with as many soap & glory and other gift sets!?

Describe your Christmas tree. How tall? Real or artificial? How is it decorated?
6ft?Maybe? It's an artificial tree, that slants slighty to the side. I get to decorate it almost every year & it's filled with red and gold decorations. Lots of baubles, tinsel, beads and ribbon. Oh it's lovely if I do say so myself, hehe.

Do you decorate just the tree or other areas of your house e.g. windows, bannisters?
Mainly the tree! I attempt the whole house, but my parents don't tend to agree or let me buy decorations for the rest of the house!

What do you wear to Christmas parties and what do you wear on Christmas day?
I love getting to dress up, sadly when my family have christmas parties the rest of the family tend to dress down & stay casual and on Christmas Day i tend to try a bit of dressing up but after a few hours I tend to end up in my comfys after eating a ton of food!
