wreck it wednesday #1

Have you all heard about 'Wreck this Journal'?
If you haven't well I hope you are more interested after this post. I got my first journal (the one of the left) when I was 18, and honestly I've still not finished it! I was in love, it allows me to become creative and I love anything crafty! While telling me the things to do each page it means that I can think you new ways to 'wreck' but it also gives me that initial push and inspiration to do the page.

If you all watch Bunny on youtube, she started a series a few weeks ago called 'wreck it wednesday' and so I'm starting it here on my blog, showing you all a few pages each week of my book! I'm very slow and getting this completed so this may take awhile, so bare with me.

No-one really leaves this page blank do they?
I had a instagram print out of my last book and I thought it would be a nice switch over, by having the old with the new. Cute, right?  I also cracked the spine straight away, I worried with my first book but this was has already been thrown all over the place...it's very therapeutic, seriously.

Honestly this is a great page to get a little anger out!
But I wanted to do something a little cute to this page and I'm not exactly too impressed with my own work but it's done now, so I'll learn to love it! Plus balloons are so much fun and bring back so many memories of parties from childhood.

With my last book I was completely clueless when it came to this page and I thought how about bringing the 'non-stop line' of one page and using it with another! So this page is a non-stop line of thick marker pens, biros pens, pencils and crayons. I'm really excited to get this page finished...so I really should go and do that now!

I hope you enjoyed seeing my first few pages, hopefully I'll show you the pages again once completed, I've not had much time lately to get really stuck into my book, but give me a few months and I'm sure it's the only thing I'll be doing!

  4. I have one of these but I haven't started wrecking it yet! I'm a bit scared to be honest, I'm used to preserving vintage books so something inside me it telling me it's wrong! :D I'll have to just dive in and wreck it! x

  5. This is such a nice idea! Something I would probably need because I'm normally too much of a perfectionist so it would be nice to have something that forces me to be a bit more creative :)

    1. It's definitly good for experimenting and trying to break normal conventions of a book. It's probably my favourite item I own.

  7. I stopped doing mine because I was too critical of it and didn't like the mess (yes, defeating the object much?!) hahaha

  10. I bought one of these a while back but am a bit of a perfectionist at heart so hate to wreck it - it's a little sad isn't it? Cannot wait to get cracking on my next few pages - thanks for the inspiration.

  11. I have one of these, for about a year now. I'm slowly finishing it, but I am chronically un-crafty and un-artistic! haha
