// mua ; nail polish - £1 each // eyeshadow tint - £1 // pro-brow £3.50 //
// collection ; eye liner pen - £2.99 // eye shadow pencil £3.19 //

Every time me and my friend Ellie head to the shops and we have no intention of buying makeup, yet every time we end up either in superdrug or boots filling up a basket (well Ellie more than me). And thats exactly what we did, swatching everything after finding out that MUA may be no more, so with everything cheap anyway we picked up a few 'essentials'.

Originally all I needed was some eye liner as mine was beginning to dry out & everything else I picked was because I loved the colour, fancied a little treat and I couldn't resist at the price.
I've never tried MUA nail polishes before & I fell in love with both colours 'Leapfrog' & 'Lush Lilac' great colours, perfect coverage (after a few layers) and I think going to be used lots throughout the summer.

I then picked up the collection eyeshadow pencil, I was drawn in by the colour mainly and is perfect for lazy makeup days when I don't need to make too much effort and this does the trick! The pigmentation of this is great, covering my lid perfect, smooth and works well when smudged across to fill the lid more, oh and it's a cute pink & lightly tinted colour with a little shimmer.
Before picking up the collection pencil, I did have a cheeky search on MUA stand to see if I could find the replica colour for a little cheaper, sadly there we're no testers for the pink & I was just too in love with the one I'd already picked up, but I found this brown pencil instead. Which again is great for the lazy make up days, adding a neutral colour to my eyes, whether I only add in the corners or across the lash line adds a natural smokey eye look, perfect for the days in the sun so my eyes are too makeup heavy.

The final purchase was something I uhmed and ahhed over for most of the time in superdrug…I have thick & filled eyebrows naturally which don't require too much maintenance, some times I just think they need some attention & buy the pro-brow for £3.50 just seemed appropriate! With three different shades and a gel for finishing off, it's great, specially for me. The packaging tells you to use the closest colour to your brows, while using the lightest colour to highlight underneath them & then using the gel to keep in place for the day. It also comes with a double ended brush & a pair of tiny tweezers, a great product to pop into your bag to keep with you all the time.

    1. I know right!! I'm not sure how true it is but the woman who worked at Superdrug told us that it's the reason all stores have little stock all the time!

  7. Argh! I'll be gutted if MUA is being discontinued! I guess they've got a lot of competiton at the minute from Makeup Revolution and P.S. Love... but MUA have some great products that I'd be really sad to lose!
