#SummerBloggerChallenge; Bucket List

For my third week on #SummerBloggerChallenge it's time to talk about my summer bucket list.
When I sat down to write this post, my mind went blank…what do I want to do during summer? I always have so many thoughts & so many plans, and this year well it feels like the exception. I have no plans & come to think about it, nothing I even really want to do.

So rather than this being a post about this summers bucket list, my take on this weeks challenge I'll be telling you guys some of the things I've been longer to do over summer time, for years.

1// travel USA.
In a previous post (here) I talked about my longing for American travels, and how I've almost spent a summer doing camp america, at a summer camp before travelling as much of america before my visa runs out. Sadly this has yet to happen, and has been on my bucket list since I was 17.
One summer, I want to see America! Travel around as many places I can, in a classic mustang (yes, I even have a dream car for this). I could probably talk forever about this as it's been a dream of mine since I was a teen.

2// festivals.
I've always wanted to attend a festival. Whenever I see bands live, I'm always memorised, I sing my heart out and can never keep my eyes off the stage…to see some of my favourite bands at a festival would be awesome. I can never decide on which one I'd rather go to & usually lack the funds anyway…I'd also probably be the worst camper ever. Well it's just the portaloos that put me off! The day myself and all my friends all have the money and can decide on which festival, well that's where we're off that summer.

3// watch the sunset on the beach.
A road trip with a group of friends, off to the beach for the day. Fish & chips, ice creams and sandcastles are what I think about. A spontaneous trip would make this 10x better in my mind, I feel as though I haven't spent the day at a UK beach since I was around 10, and that's probably not exaggerating. So that's definitely something I'd enjoy doing in the next few years, a day with my friends. Around arcades, rollercoasters, sand, the pier and so many sweets we all feel sick at the end…well now I'd love a day at Blackpool, someone want to take me?

4// cocktail party.
Beautiful decking, bbq on the go & everyone making their own cocktails for everyone to drink. This is more for the older me, for when I have my own place. Deciding on a summers day to invite all my friends round, got lots of food on the go & invite everyone to bring their own drinks. Cocktails seem like the perfect summer drinks, and I don't get to drink them that often. So for the more mature self & all my friends, I'd love to think that in a few years when we're all living on our own & working hectic full time jobs, I can invite everyone round for a weekend of relaxation & lots of alcohol, making it the perfect little break from everyones lives and to enjoy each others company.

And there you have it, my summer bucket list. I'd love to experience some of these in the next few years, not only so I can look back and remember it's something I've wanted to do for a while but while I was sat writing this I realised my fun of summer feels like it's becoming non-exsistent….probably because I've just completed my degree & it's time to search for a full time job, which means bye-bye long summer breaks & hello adulthood. oooh I feel so old now.

  4. A classic mustang, I love it! When you go the US, can I come? ;-) I'd also love to go to a festival but I probably wouldn't be a very good camper and don't even mention portaloos! Even the word freaks me out!! Ha ha! Great post, I loved your list xx

  7. Thanks! Exactly, I think for the price of tickets you have to be sure it's something you want to experience and who you want to see…specially with festivals!
