Review; Baby Skin Primer

Baby Skin - £7.99

I've not tried a primer before and I'm not sure I've actually reviewed a product alone before, and after reading mixed opinions of this product I wanted to give my input.
Originally I assumed primers were only to cover pores and make skin appear smoother (right?) , and honestly my skin doesn't really need that coverage…without meaning to brag my skin is naturally clear, lucky I know!? I was then told that primers also helped make-up longer lasting, and there's a downside to my skin…any make-up coverage seems to disappear after only 5 minutes. So for a while I've been tempted to try a primer. And the Maybelline Baby Skin is the 'chosen one', I wasn't too sure how I'd feel about actually purchasing a primer and after reading a few bad reviews once I'd purchased it, well I was worried I'd wasted my money. Though I'm not one to throw away a product so I've continued using and hoped for the best.I only apply a little bit to the areas I feel need it most, mainly to my cheeks and nose to fill in my pores and smooth everything over…and so far so good, although I've been applying some around my chin too, but it's causing more of a break out than anything, which isn't good! Apart from the slight break out and my skin feeling a little oily afterwards, I'm really pleased with the product so far, I love the feel of smoother skin and I believe that this product does exactly that! My skin feels softer throughout the day & the coverage of my make-up appears to stay on for much longer than before, I don't have an overall time of how long but it definitely seems longer.

I hope this was a helpful & understandable review of the product. For my first primer I can't really judge or compare my experience to others, however I'm really pleased with this as my first primer product.
If I was to continue using primers, which would you recommend? Or are you using baby skin yourself?

  1. I found Baby Skin didn't really do much for my skin so I was a little disappointed with it.
I LOVE Benefit Porefessional primer, I just wish it wasn't so expensive :(

  2. I have this and hated it. I only really use it now and again. I was gutted though because I really wanted to love it!

Glad that it seems to have worked so far! I'm using No.7 and Porefessional atm and they are good!
