favourites; 2014.

I feel terrible for writing this already so many days into 2015, but while everyones posts have been filling up my news feed of their general favourites of 2014, I thought I'd join in and show you mine.
At the beginning of 2014, my makeup collection was limited I had around 6 lipsticks and now have around 26....which of course is through the influence of my blogging, oops! And with my beauty favourites I wanted to combine a few of my non-beauty into the mix....because I have many of those to show you too!

1. micellar water
what's known as the sin in the beauty world is using makeup wipes, and I've been doing that for some time, oops! But last year while everyone was going crazy for it, I picked up the garnier micellar water and I've loved it ever since. I'm surprised how long the bottle lasts and it removes my makeup so easily, even the tough bits...though I still use make-up wipes from time to time.
2. diasy dream perfume
I LOVE this perfume. When it was first realised I was so desperate to get my hand on this scent and it was either not yet in stores or I just couldn't afford it. But my perfect little brother got it me as my graduation present back in October and I've not stopped using it since, so in love. I've been a fan of Marc Jacobs for some time now, and compared to it's other scents, this is definitely much more subtle....I'm bad at describing scents but it's beautiful, okay?
3. Lush
If you've been reading my blog for a while, you may know that 2014 was the first year I used any Lush products, my first purchase being the bubblegum lip scrub and honestly I've not stopped using this product or purchasing many others since, and lately it's become an obsession. I think the idea of handmade natural products just inspires me to use this more and well when they smell so good, leave your skin feel soft and well price I can't say no!
4. models own nail varnish
I've used this polish practically non-stop...at the clothes show back in december I picked up so many nail varnish's and I'm not the biggest varnish wear-er, but show me pretty colours and I'll buy it whether I wear it or not. But I love this one (utopia) in particular as it's so subtle, a natural colour but adds a little brightness to my nails which I love...now I may try and wear a little more of the colours throughout this year.
5. benefit eye make-up
This time last year I hadn't used a single benefit product! I had a huge wishlist but it wasn't until during summer when products went on Cohorted for a reasonable price that I managed to get my hands on the they're real mascara and the new they're real liner and I've adored them both ever since. I don't always use them for my everyday makeup, mainly for the days I'm making more effort or I'm going out, I just don't want them to every run out!
6. arch angel
I was given arch angel as part of a goodie bag when I went to FabbBirmingham event a few months ago. I'd been eyeing up the benefit brow products, was using the rimmel product beforehand and once this got into my hands I've not stopped using it! With the double end, I can highlight my eyes and use the brow end to define my brows...and the biggest pro-point, the brushes are rather small so it's easier to define, so good!
7. makeup revolution
I think anyone who's been reading my blog for ages, you know my slight obsession with makeup revolution. I've not stopped buying from the brand since summer, and this is possibly the reason my makeup collection has grown so much. But of course their lipsticks and eyeshadow palettes are amongst my favourites, I've not stopped using them since I purchased them and I keep buying more, just because of the pretty colours, oops!
8. mac lipsticks
High end brands we're my biggest must have until this year and benefit and mac were the first must haves on my list. It wasn't until after my birthday last year I picked up 2 mac lipsticks, while they were extremely similar I've loved them since...and since only brought 2 more. The colour may be small but it's a start, I now have 2 pinks, a bright red & purple...a great little mix. Oh I want to pick up so much more this year!
9. little love jewellery
For the last few years I've been making my own jewellery and tie-dye tshirts, so this year I bite the bullet and opened up my online store 'Little Love'. This is something that really scared me, because I wasn't too sure how it would work out and honestly I'm still unsure (and it's been open for a few months now). But creating my own items to sell has been so much fun and let me be so creative!
10. netflix
It wasn't until a few months ago when I finally got a subscription to netflix sorted. I tried the free trial before and love netflix and now I have a part-time job I got myself a monthly subscription sorted. I have so many films on my list, a huge list of tv series to start watching and I'll spend as much time as possible watching it! My other favourite thanks to netflix has been gossip girl, I watch a few episode when I was 16 and I just didn't fall in love, but it's only taken me a few weeks to watch them all, and it was so so good, and my nan brought it for me this christmas, how exciting!

I didn't expect this to be such a huge post, oops! But there it is, a few days later than others but my 2014 favourites. I've tried and failed before to make favourite posts more frequent...but this year I'm going to try my best, with each month a new post.
Hope you're all having a lovely start to the new year and happy weekend!
