Maybelline Colour Drama; Red Essential.

These pencils have been around for so long now and I can't believe I'm only just getting round to blog about them! I've been eyeing up the other colours for some time now and just gotten round to picking any up, and now I'm trying not to spend for a few weeks, so I have to forget my temptation.
I picked this up a few months back in an attempt to welcome back red lips to my makeup routine...it didn't last too long as I've been having too much fun creating eye looks, and red lips just don't work with them (though I wish they did).
The pigmentation of this colour is perfect, so long lasting and not exactly drying on my lips like I thought it would be. An easy lipstick replacement, with possibly some better qualities!
I'd forgotten about wearing this until writing this post, so it's time to dig it out...try wearing some simple makeup (hello, thick liner & dark eyes) and create a bold look with just this little pencil.

I'm so happy with this purchase and like I said I'm resisting temptation to pick up more. But for their price I found the colours in the range can be pretty good dupes for other popular lipstick brands, *cough-cough* I brought this and macs Russian Red, and they're practically identical...I was just going to buy this and be done with it, but when I tell myself I want to treat myself to a mac lip, I'm going to!
Have you tried these colour drama pencils? Which is your favourite?...which do I need to pick up when I can spend?
