What I Watched: April.

WHAT I WATCHED: APRIL.

So it turns out I'm terrible at sharing blog posts yet again, between working and finding a social life I've yet again left blogging on the back burner. I've had every intention of blogging but once my day off appears I've either spent it out and about with friends or just had very little motivation.

I've come to notice that these posts aren't only me sharing my monthly watch list, but almost a diary entry of how I've been feeling that month, another month gone comes another diary entry I guess. I had a post planned which I've been slowly writing throughout May, whilst it's a positive post it's taking a lot of effort to get finished. I'm sharing some details about how I was feeling throughout April and all the positive things that happened but sometimes I just can't keep that upbeat attitude to just complete it. But it should be live over the weekend.

If I'm being totally honest with you, I've neglected my blog to spend some time with Tom. Throughout this year are working schedules have clashed and we were spending less and less time together, but thankfully after a little jigging things around and finding even a few hours each day together we're finally gaining our time back.

It's been really difficult going from having the freedom to see each other most days of the week to spending only a couple hours together in one week but I'm so glad we're finding that balance. We had a pretty great date day at the end of April, picking up breakfast (bacon, sausage and egg sandwich) before heading to the cinema to watch movies back to back, and a chilled evening together watching trashy weekend TV - yeah Britain's Got Talent, I'm looking at you! We watched Guardians of the Galaxy and Fast & Furious 8 and luckily we enjoyed both. Throughout the first three (maybe) years of our relationship we'd have date days on a Wednesday where each week we'd take it in turns to choose the movie of choice at the cinema, although I now work in the cinema where these date days used to happen - it's nice to have those days together and rekindle those moments.

About mid way through April this list was minimal and I didn't think I'd get through many more films and I'm so pleased that I've watched as many as I have now, the total so far throughout 2017 is 103, which I'm really impressed with. I've been trying to mix it up with the movie choices but lets be honest, this girl loves her predictable love stories - I'm a sucker for romance, I'm sorry.

1. THE DUFF
2. MADE OF HONOUR - Oh, Patrick Dempsey!
3. DREAM GIRLS
4. ALOHA
5. THE FIRST TIME
6. THE SPACE BETWEEN US
7. LILO & STITCH - Ohana means family, family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.
8. PRETTY WOMAN
9. THE ACCIDENTAL HUSBAND
10. MOTHERS DAY
11. THE PRINCE AND ME
12. BEAUTY & THE BEAST (2017)
13. FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS
14. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 1
15. THE INBETWEENERS 2
16. MALEFICENT
17. THE GOONIES - How have I not watched this before, I LOVED it!
18. MONSTERS VS ALIENS
19. IF I STAY
20. BILLBOARD DAD
21. BRATZ - It's so cheesy but oh my, I love it SO much.
22. MRS MATCHED
23. THE ADDAMS FAMILY
24. BATMAN: DARK KNIGHT RISES
25. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.2
26. FAST AND FURIOUS 8
27. ANATASIA

I managed to watch some new films this month, some have fast become my favourites...I also couldn't wait to watch some old favourites, some of which I've watched in previous months this year. I find comfort in watching the same film over and over again. When I originally started this at the beginning of this year I wanted to watch more musicals, I wanted to watch more action films and some of those award winning classics that everybody loves, but that's not been as realistic as I'd hoped.

We're almost half way through May and I can tell you that I'm working on building this list, I've got friends online and friends at work who're helping me with movie decisions so the possibilities of movies is endless and I've got some time to myself today so as you can imagine I'm hoping to have a fun filled movie day.
