This Saturday me and my dad went for a trip to Dudley zoo and castle.
We'd been planning to have a day trip together for months to take photos and after breaking his leg in January we could finally go out on our photography trip. Both being little camera geeks, we took our cameras and all the lens ready for a fun day out.
We both love the quiet life and deciding to go out on a bank holiday weekend, we regretted the decision pretty much straight away, fighting with big groups of families, screaming kids, pushchairs and people constantly walking into me…which was the worst part of the day. But we got plenty of great photos, so I wanted to share some of my favourites here.
The castle is old ruins, mainly half the outside walls of most of the castle…which is very pretty and if you're brave enough to climb to the top you can see right over Dudley (very impressive, but not the most amazing view).
It was also adorable watching them all completely become fascinated with the sun! Once it brightened up they all sat up straight and opened up their arms and chest as they were praising or meditating towards the sun, it was hilarious and everyone loved it, I was in fits of laughters as it happened!
How adorable is this red panda? When I first saw this cute little thing I ran to watch him wonder around and of course definitely had to take photos, he was a little fast so I only got two photos but both are great and my heart still melts looking at him….I want to keep him (but I'm sure they'd noticed if I stole him from there)!
Along with all these animals we got to see a tiger up close, a sleeping bear and a tortoise attacking the ground to eat the grass. Meerkats looked hilarious stood up tall, otters ran around creating a little nest and we got close to some adorable squirrel monkeys. I enjoyed my day so so much I want to go again next week, although our down fall was we didn't pack a panic like every other person but we treated ourselves to something tasty on our way home instead.
I LOVE the zoo and penguins are my faveee!!!
