For the second week of the #SummerBloggerChallenge, Amy challenged us to the summer trends. Taking the post whichever way we want, at first I hmmed & ahhed at the idea of a makeup post, what I'd be wearing on my face over the summer (…which I might upload another time).
But I realised that over the last few weeks I haven't concentrate on fashion or even considered what I'd be wearing this summer. Although I may not be able to afford a big spending spree, I decided to pop on over to New Looks website and check there trends. The colours are very neutral, pale, pastel colours which are my favourite at the moment and if I could…all these items would be on there way to me right now!?

- Pink Chucky Sandals - Green Tote - Coral Kimono - Florals Maxi Skirt - Daisy Lace Crop Top -
- Playsuit - Floral Shorts - High-Waisted Bikini Shorts - Bikini Top - Tropical Tunic Dress -
- Playsuit - Floral Shorts - High-Waisted Bikini Shorts - Bikini Top - Tropical Tunic Dress -
These are my favourites…and if I could afford it, then yes I'd probably have ordered them while making this post. I'm very much in love with light pinks & green/blues at the moment. I find them the perfect colours for summer time. I also like the idea that I can match a few of these items together, mixing my favourite colours of the moment without looking slightly crazy!
When looking at these items I realised that most of these are aimed towards those going on holiday (which sadly I wont be doing this year), but if I had that option I'd definitely pack these items in. The bikini for the lazy days around the pool or beach, either the playsuit or the shorts or maxi skirt and crop top combo for wondering around the local areas. And the tunic dress for the evenings out for meal and cocktails. With the kimono perfect for each occasion, to keep slight covered from the sun. Though if your like me and not going on holiday, these items still seem perfect for the odd summer days we have in the UK, and every summer…I think every girl will agree, you always need a new pair of bottoms whether shorts or skirt, along with some new shoes and a brightly coloured bag to carry round all the essentials…the essentials I posted about last week, here.
I hope you like my choices and enjoy this weeks summer challenge.

That daisy lace crop top is right up my alley! So cute!
ReplyDeleteI love corals and mints and duck egg blues in the summer time. It just feels wrong to wear black all the time -- which is totally my default!
ReplyDeleteI wish I had your restraint though, I may have partaken in a summer shopping splurge on ASOS yesterday. Whoops!
