CHRISTMAS MOVIE FAVOURITES.

There's nothing I love more than snuggling down during winter and watching as many Christmas films as possible - it's helpful when I'm not feeling particularly festive.

I tend to try and make a night of it when we creep closer to the Christmas period - I actually watched my first Christmas movie of this year in October -I found a personal favourite on Amazon Prime and I just couldn't help myself. That being said, once the house is decorated it's usually when I try and find the time to watch as many as possible; the Christmas lights will be bright, hot chocolate in hand, wrapped in my blankets and the movies will be on repeat.

Oh, I bloody love winter!?

In true blogger fashion, I wanted to share with you some of my ultimate favourites, I'm actually going to split this into a two-parter. Today I'll be sharing all the typical favourites, the ones usually every house hold has on DVD or played on BBC, ITV or C4 over the festive period - ya know the ones.

I think what I like about these films is that there's now such a variety that you can watch any kind of storyline, with so many different characters, majority of these are cheesy and tacky and everything we want at Christmas but nothing will stop us from also rewatching the true classics. Personally I'll watch the Netflix, amazon or hallmark movies throughout Nov/Dec but as soon as we get closer to Christmas Day, these are the choices for that. It's tradition ya know? Growing up every Christmas Eve we'd watch Home Alone whereas nowadays we tend to watch It's a Wonderful Life as close to Christmas Day as possible, and weirdly as a family we always watch Star Wars around Christmas too and I guess that's when I know it's time to celebrate.

Rather than jumping in with the whole plot line, because let's be honest, you've probably watched these ones yourself recently. But these are amongst my favourites at this time of year and it wouldn't be Christmas on my blog without me sharing them with you.

1. HOME ALONE
2. HOME ALONE 2
3. THE HOLIDAY
4. LOVE ACTUALLY
5. THE POLAR EXPRESS
6. ELF
7. THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
8. ONCE UPON A MICKEY CHRISTMAS
9. IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE.
10. NATIVITY.
11. THE MUPPETS CHRISTMAS CAROL
12. JINGLE ALL THE WAY
13. CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS.
14. DECK THE HALLS.

16. LAST CHRISTMAS

I can't wait as the month goes on for us to watch more of these films, we're working our way through the choices on Netflix at the moment (which I'll be sharing with you in my next post).

What you're favourite Christmas film? What shall I add to our watch list?
