WHATS ON MY DISNEY+ WATCH-LIST.

27.4.20

Well, I certainly sound late to the party but it's a scheduling thing, I promise.

I've been dipping my feet in and out of the Disney+ watching for just over a month now,  the release was something we were waiting for and with the current pandemic leaving more of us sat at home throughout March and April , this couldn't have come at a better time, and I for one have been thrilled about this.

For my 27th birthday my parents paid the £49.99 pre-order fee for the year subscription and after a shit start to my birthday week (pfft, thanks lockdown), this was wonderful and actually within the first few week has already been used for the whole family's entertainment. Money well spent, ey!

Hard as it might be to believe I've not always been the avid Disney fan I am today, spending most of my childhood watching movies from Nickelodeon or Warner Brothers, so I'm taking full advantage of any old classics which I might've missed years ago. On March 24th or now officially known as Disney+ release day, my plan of action was to decide what I'd be watching first and let me tell you finding animations like recess and the Disney channel series of the little mermaid, I was hit hard with nostalgia and boy, was it exciting.

I'll be honest as exciting as it was, I felt a little bit overwhelmed with the choices and not knowing where to start, torn between the Disney+ original series or jump right in with something classic like high school musical. I got so worked up with making the right decision, I've barely watched anything on release day, or since in fact.

Over the years I've built up quite the collection of dvd's, in fact I've almost collected all the Disney classics, seen all the princess films but I'm a sucker for the additional sequels. I'm very much looking forward to find the ones I've not yet seen, steamboat willie is unsurprisingly at the top of that list. As a family we've always been fans of the Star Wars franchise, so it'll be nice to watch that as a family in the future and I'll be watching the entire marvel cinematic universe with J fo'sure. Like I said, as a family we're thrilled about this subscription and I can't wait for all the movie nights I'll be forcing upon them.

So in an attempt to fight off the fears and a cute little way of keeping track of what I want to watch, I'm being the basic bitch I am and sharing it with you in the form of a blog post.

With both J and I being movie nerds, we're both really looking forward to watching our way through the assembling a universe documentary and I'm a sucker for any docs about behind the scenes and creating movies etc etc, so I'll be working my way through the insider series too.

I just need to get myself some popcorn, fizzy sweets and I'll be creating my very own bedroom/cinema set up and working my way through these.

What was first on your watch list?
