Just like most media students, my love for watching movies was the reason I spent five years studying said topic but much to my own embarrassment, my movie knowledge can be shocking.
Alright i'll let you in on a secret, the truth is I like what I like and I've got a genre of choice...shamefully that involves a lot of old school teen rom-com's, you know the classics Wild Child, Cinderella Story and so on.
This being said there's a huge list of films I'm yet to watch and I don't have a better excuse than pure laziness - oh and fear that they won't meet my expectations, because trust me, there's nothing worse than hating a film that you had such high hopes for.
When you consider both my studies and my work place for the last 10 years, I have no excuse as to why I've got such a movie bucket list to work through, however, when working in the cinema I did break some barriers when it came to watching releases I'd once avoid, but since leaving that job, I've found it difficult to stay on top of mixing up my viewing choices.
I'm a sucker for rom-com's and i'll never touch a horror film but there's so many classics and recent releases that I've missed, and just like any other blogger the only obvious way to I'll be able to complete the task of watching movies i've never seen before (or have but haven't re-watched since) - I have to write a blog post about it, duh.
I've lived a life where Disney films and rom-coms have been top of mine list but lived in the same house as a dad and brother who loved wars films, those 80's classics and movies they could really sink their teeth into and let's be honest - I'm experiencing a little bit of fomo over here.
I'm hoping that compiling this list together I'll put that extra pressure on myself to work through this 'bucket list' and in the evenings I'll choose movies I've never seen before rather than sticking to the films I can quote word-for-word - like she's the man, whoops.
While this is for my own benefit, this could end up being more for your entertainment (correction, judging purposes), so here it is; the check-list, the ultimate movie bucket list, all those absolute classics and everyones fond favourites that i've always avoided, ready for me to get started...
