WHAT I'LL BE DOING WHEN LOCKDOWN IS OVER...

15.6.20

Quick shout out to Robyn, who's looking forward to life after lockdown totally inspired this post, thanks gal.

Has anyone else reached the stage of day-dreaming? Because I have, kind of. Only a little bit. I've been suppressing these thoughts to be honest, I'm not sure if it's a coping mechanism or whether I'm just not ready to acknowledge when 'going back to normal' will become reality.

Truth be told I'm a little nervous, not because of the virus - we've survived it once in our household *phew*. But everything feels so different now. Everyone seems a little more nervous and understandably - we've been in our own little bubbles for so long now, who's even surprised that it'll have this effect on peoples mental health?

But truth be told, once the fear has subsided, I'm really looking forward to introducing some normality back into my life, seeing my best pals, heading to the pub for beer garden season and even going back to work (shock, I know!)

Whilst I've always been an introvert and this hasn't had too much of an effect on my life, because much to peoples surprise I'm okay with the new normal. There's a couple things I'm missing, the small everyday tasks that now require a plan of action or even the things I can't do because well things are closed...

So I thought I'd compile a list of all the things I want to do once lockdown is over:

1. HUG MY BEST FRIENDS
2. BUYING A NEW SET OF PYJAMAS FROM PRIMARK
3. GETTING A MCDONALDS
4. PICKING UP SOME NEW BOOKS TO READ FROM THE LIBRARY.
5. GOING TO A COFFEE SHOP
6. DANCE CLASS WITH MY DANCE FAMILY
7. THE INFAMOUS HOUSE-PARTIES WITH SAID DANCE FAMILY!
8. REARRANGING OUR TRIP TO EDINBURGH
9. GOING TO THE MARKETS & BUYING NEW FABRICS FOR MY DISNEY EARS
10. MEET THE BLOGGER FRIENDS I'VE MADE DURING LOCKDOWN.
11. VISIT FAMILY MEMBERS.
12. BROWSE THE SHOPS - I MISS WINDOW SHOPPING SO MUCH.
13. PLAN A TRIP WITH J.
14. GET MY HAIR AND NAILS DONE AT MY FAV SALON.
15. WATCH FILMS AT THE CINEMA AGAIN, HMM POPCORN!

Whilst I'm massively missing planning trips, I'm gutted we've had 3 weddings cancelled this summer and this could've been a more exciting list of things, I think right now it's the simple pleasures I'm missing the most, popping round to a friends for a cuppa, popping round the shops before work or meeting up with friends for coffee, god I really miss that.

What are you most excited to do when lockdown is over?
